Gazprom CEO says Turkish price for Russian gas competitive
ISTANBUL, Oct 10 (PRIME) -- Demand for Russian gas on the Turkish market is high and its price is very competitive, Alexei Miller, CEO of gas giant Gazprom, told reporters Monday.
“Gazprom supplies gas to the Turkish market at a very competitive price. Demand for our gas on the Turkish market is very high, and the price is very competitive,” he said, when asked about a possible discount for Turkey.
Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told Turkish newspaper Hurriyet in an interview that the two countries have restarted their negotiations on a discount for Russian gas, and a peaceful settlement of the dispute it possible between Gazprom and Turkey’s Botas.
